Redmond is a key part of our ethical breeding program at Deluxedarlings French Bulldogs in Western Australia. His health, structure and temperament have been carefully evaluated through comprehensive and official testing to ensure he meets high standards for long-term soundness and functional wellbeing.
Redmond has completed comprehensive and official health testing including spine, hips, trachea and full DNA genetic disease screening for French Bulldogs.
DNA testing analyses inherited conditions known to affect the breed. This helps reduce the risk of passing on genetic diseases and supports healthier puppies with stronger long-term structural stability.
His spine and hips have been X-rayed, officially assessed and scored with excellent results, supporting strong structure, balance and long-term soundness.
His trachea has also been measured ( 0.24) and evaluated to support healthy airway structure and respiratory function.
In addition to official health scores, Redmond demonstrates well-developed, functional muzzle structure and open nares. These structural features are important for supporting clearer airflow and overall respiratory comfort.
Beyond physical health, Redmond has a stable, confident and friendly temperament. He is well balanced, affectionate and social, reflecting the kind of temperament we prioritise in our breeding program.

Spine Report
Redmond’s spine report shows outstanding results for a French Bulldog. The lumbar spine is completely clear, and the thoracic score is only 4. We’re incredibly proud of these results.
Spine X-Ray
Official spinal X-ray showing excellent alignment. Lumbar spine is clear, with only minimal thoracic findings an outstanding result for a French Bulldog.
Trachea X-Ray
Redmond’s trachea diameter ratio is 0.24, which is an outstanding result. The typical French Bulldog reference is around 0.16, making this an excellent and above-average measurement.
Hips & Trachea Report
Redmond’s hip score is 12 (6:6), which is a very good result for a French Bulldog. This score is well below the current breed average, indicating healthy hip structure and excellent joint quality.
DNA Disease Screening Report
Redmond’s DNA report confirms he is clear across all 6 tested disease panels. With further testing completed, Redmond is proudly clear across all 8 genetic disease panels, offering extra peace of mind and reflecting our strong commitment to health-focused, responsible breeding.
Airways Oedema (ADAMTS3) test
Redmond is clear of Airway Oedema, which means he does not carry the genetic risk for swelling of the airways that can affect breathing.

DNA Disease Report for Chondrodysplasia (CDPA)
Chondrodysplasia (CDPA): Clear (N/N, Negative)
Redmond was tested at Laboklin (Germany) and is clear. This means he does not carry the gene for abnormal cartilage or bone growth, which can affect body and limb development.

Redmond has been DNA tested twice for Canine Multifocal Retinopathy (CMR1) and is confirmed clear (DNA negative). CMR1 is a hereditary retinal condition that may affect vision in affected dogs. As he is clear, he does not carry the gene variant and will not pass this condition to his offspring.

Congenital Hypothyroidism (CHG): Clear ( N/N, Negative).
No genetic risk for congenital thyroid-related disorders.
This result brings Redmond to 8 genetic panels clear, highlighting his excellent health profile and suitability for Ethical breeding.

He has been DNA tested twice for Hereditary Cataract (HSF4) and is clear (DNA negative).
HSF4 is a genetic eye disease that can cause cataracts and vision loss. Being clear means he does not carry or pass on this condition to his French Bulldog puppies.
DNA Tests Report
Redmond has been fully DNA tested for colour genetics.
He is a beautiful Solid Rojo (aa / bc-bc) and carries blue (d) and cocoa (bco). He does not carry brindle, pied, or merle.
This means that, when paired with the right female, Redmond has the potential to produce Rojo, Isabella, New Shade Rojo, New Shade Isabella, Lilac, and Blue puppies. His genetics offer wonderful flexibility while maintaining strong breed type and health-focused breeding goals.
